What is the difference between petg and pet materials

(1) PET is polyethylene terephthalate, a crystalline saturated polyester. It is a milky white or light yellow, highly crystalline polymer with a smooth and glossy surface. It is a common resin in daily life and can be divided into APET, RPET, and PETG.
(2) PETG is one of the types of PET, called polyethylene terephthalate 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol ester. It is a transparent and amorphous copolyester. The commonly used comonomer for PETG is 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol, which is more common than PET.
2、 Different functions.
(1) In the classification of plastics, the code of PET is No. 1, which is mainly used in electronics and electrical appliances, including: electrical sockets, Electrical connector, Rice cooker handles, flow control valves in the automotive industry, carburetor cover, mechanical industrial gears, blades, as well as wheelchair body and wheels, lampshade shell, illuminator shell, clock parts, spray parts.
(2) PETG is mainly used in packaging of boards, sheets, credit cards, profiles, and cosmetics.
